Xiaomi Mi 6C is Expected to Launch in December With Full-Screen Design and Surge S2 SoC: Renders, Specifications and Price Leaks

Xiaomi is expected to come up with another full-screen smartphone dubbed as Xiaomi Mi 6C which could be unveiled this year. Xiaomi Mi 6C is likely to be powered by Xiaomi’s new Surge S2 chipset and will be the successor of the Mi 5C smartphone that was released earlier this year.

As per the reports, the Xiaomi Mi 6C should debut with a 5.65-inch diagonal display. Obviously, there should be an 18:9 ratio, which has become almost a standard in the mobile industry. In fact, the new device would come with a glass case but with a rear fingerprint reader. This is because, being more or less full screen, there will not be enough space to place it on the front.

But the interesting thing is obviously all about the Surge S2. After a surge S1 not entirely convincing, the new chipset should offer a boost in performance and power consumption. Starting from the production process that might sound, it could even go to 10nm but most likely to stay on 16nm.

According to today's rumours, the performance of SoC made in Xiaomi would even match (or nearly) those offered by solutions such as Snapdragon 835 or  Kirin 970. The processor would be an octa-core with ARM Cortex-A75 + A53 architecture. It is said to be launched in two variants - 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM and 64GB storage capacity.

We doubt this is the last detail, as we have previously reported more contained specifications. We conclude with the price estimated at around 2699 yuan (approx Rs.26,284 / US$406).
