Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Smartphones Specifications Leaked Ahead of Official Launch Next Week

Google is ready to launch its second generation pixel smartphones on October 4. And now the specifications of both the handsets that arrived before the launch have leaked on the Internet. And most of the specifications of both variants are same, but the larger variant will come with a more slim bezel and 80-85 percent screen to body ratio.

Let's first talk about the main difference of Pixel 2 XL and Pixel 2. According to Android Authority report, the former variant Pixel 2 XL comes with a quad HD Curved Gorilla Glass 5. While the Pixel 2 has revealed that a full HD display with last year's variant design and a Gorilla Glass 5. Pixel 2 XL has a 3520mAh battery while the Pixel 2 has a 2700mAh battery.
Now coming to the specifications in both handsets. The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones expect to run on Android 8.0 Oreo. Both phones are expected to have Snapdragon 835 processors and IP67 ratings for dust, water resistance. The handsets are expected to have a pixel camera in front and rear along with OIS and a dedicated 'Google imaging chip' in the handset.

Both Pixels 2 and Pixel 2 XL are expected to be made available in two storage variants of 64 GB and 128 GB. Both phones can have a dual front-facing stereo speaker, but according to the report, there will be no 3.5mm headphone jack. The upcoming Google Phones will feature an 'Active Edge' sensor, which was previously seen in the HTC U11 smartphone. Through this feature, users can perform various types of action by touching the edge of the phone.

According to the report, there will be an eSIM card slot in Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. As without removing the SIM card, different networks can be used like Apple Watch Series 3.

Specifically, the sources of the Android Authority have found that the second Generation Pixel smartphone customers will get unlimited Google Cloud Storage up to 2023. However, it is not clear whether the user will be able to share only pictures or all types of files on this storage.

Many of these specifications have been leaked earlier, and many photos have been leaked to the Internet. The Android Authority says that the specification has been validated by an internal document so that the reliability of the leak increases.
