Samsung Galaxy Note 8 With 6.3-inch Infinity AMOLED display, Dual Rear Cameras Launched at an event in New York: Price, Specifications, Release Date, and More

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note 8 officially in India on Wednesday at an event held in New York. The smartphone is highlighted with its 6.3-Inch Infinity display which is the largest screen on a Note device and also includes the unique S-Pen similar to the other Note devices from Samsung. The smartphone is available in Midnight Black, Orchid Gray, Maple Gold and Deepsea Blue colour variants.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It is equipped with an Octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor. The device packs a 6GB of RAM which helps you in the multi tasking performance without any lag. It measures 162.50 x 74.80 x 8.60 and weighs 195.00 grams. The smartphone is IP68 certified which means that the device is protected against dust and water resistant (up to 1.5 meters of fresh water for up to 30mins).

The Galaxy Note 8 features a widescreen 18:5:9 aspect ratio with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The screen is Super AMOLED with a resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels. The flagship packs a 64GB of internal storage memory with a microSD card expansion using Hybrid SIM slot. The Hybrid SIM slot allows you to use either memory card or a SIM card which users can plan as per their convenience. The device comes with an iris scanner at the back and a front-mounted fingerprint sensor which is fast and accurate to unlock.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 sports dual rear cameras (12MP + 12MP) with f/1.7 aperture lens. The device also packs an 8MP front-facing shooter with f/1.7 aperture lens for video calling and selfies. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 offers 3,300mAh battery, which is expected to last for an entire day. Connectivity options on the Galaxy Note 8 include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, GPS, and a microUSB Type-C 3.1 port. The device Sensors include Accelerometer, Hall sensor, Magnetometer, Gyroscope, Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, and Barometer.

The company is yet to announce the price of the Galaxy Note 8 for the Indian market. The device will be available for pre-orders in select markets starting Thursday and will start shipping on September 15. In the US, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is priced at $930 (or approx Rs. 59,499) for the base model, the one with the 64GB storage. Meanwhile, in the UK, the Note 8 is priced at £869 (or approx Rs 71, 299).
